By accessing or using CookBookBuddy at recipicius.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide a valid email address. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
• One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

3. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of recipes and other content you create ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant CookBookBuddy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute it to other users of the Service.

You represent that:

• You have the right to post the content (e.g. you are not infringing a third party's copyright).
• The content does not violate any applicable law.

When you import a recipe from an external URL, you are responsible for ensuring the use complies with the source website's terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory.
• Spam or repeatedly post duplicate content.
• Attempt to disrupt the Service or circumvent security measures.
• Scrape or harvest user data from the Service.
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without our written consent.

5. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms. Users may report content they believe violates our policies. Accounts found to be in repeated or serious violation may be suspended or permanently banned.

6. Recipe Import and AI Features

The recipe import and photo scan features use AI services (Google Gemini) to extract recipe data. Results may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing imported content before saving it. We are not liable for errors in AI-extracted data.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COOKBOOKBUDDY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
